Brief History:

Our first show ever which was recognized by USEF was in December 1984.  This was the first of three dressage shows called the Dressage Trilogy.  Fox Lea Farm was one of the first producers of CDI level Dressage shows in the United States.  November 1985 began our first “A” rated hunter jumper shows.  With encouragement and help from Central Florida and Southwest Florida trainers these shows continued to grow and succeed.  We believe from the variety of shows we produce, that we meet the needs from the grass root to the experienced “A” circuit riders.

Over 20 years ago we started a summer series of rated hunter jumpers shows with a theme of camp related activities and family fun thus the series is called "Camp Fox Lea".  Our goal is to always create an atmosphere that is enjoyable to the families, riders, owners, trainers, spectators and horses.  We currently produce 12 National rated shows and 6 Regional rated shows per year.

We have hosted numerous USHJA Zone 4 Finals since 2001.  In 2006, we added our first $25,000 Grand Prix to our National series.  We currently produce 17 Grand Prixs a year.  Starting in 2016 we have added a Winter Hunter Jumper Series call the Venice Equestrian Tour that is USEF sanctioned.  This event is nicknamed VET and takes place for 7 weeks from January 18 through March 5th.

Fox Lea Farm hosts 12 pointed AQHA shows per year and also some AQHA Special Events.  Six of the Twelve shows are held during the month of January during our most prestigious Quarter Horse Show of the year, Fox Lea Farm Winter Circuit and has been in existence for over 30 years.  Fox Lea Farm has also been home to the Florida Super Eight Appaloosa Shows in the month of March for the past 20 years.  In 2007, Fox Lea Farm took over the management of these nationally recognized Appaloosa events.

All together, we have approximately 36 weekends a year of horse shows.  This is equivalent to over 160 events days a year.  We produce and manage Hunter/ Jumper, Quarter Horse, Dressage and Appaloosa Horse shows.  Fox Lea Farm awards approximately $750,000 in prize money to the exhibitors through out the year.  Over the years we hope we have contributed to improving the standards and conditions of rated and unrated shows.
